This inspiring dance choreographed by Zhao Limin, is called "Hand in Hand"  and is performed by disabled dancers Ma Li and Zhai Xiaowei. Both the dancers had lost limbs as a result of car accidents. Ma Li lost her right arm and Zhai Xiaowei his left leg. 

Ma Li was trained as a dancer as a little girl. Zhai Xiaowei had never danced.  After Ma Li's accident where she lost her arm, she went through a few years of depression.  She was asked to coach a Children's dancing group and realized she could not give up the dancing that she loved. So she started to do some of her old routines but found that without an arm she had lost her ability to balance and had difficulty making even simple turns and spins without falling. Eventually, however, through practice and determination she was able to once again dance! 

She heard about a man in his 20s who had lost a leg in an accident.  She contacted him and even though he had never danced, she convinced him to dance with her.  It was not an easy road, both were dealing with their emotional and physical trauma, but they persevered and continued training after many setbacks.  They hired a choreographer to design special routines that would enable him (using a crutch for his missing leg) to hold her as she flew high using a sleeve for her missing arm.  Their dance is breathtakingly beautiful.
