Carol has been working in the graphic design field since the early 1980s. She started out as a calligrapher, creating name-tags for events, menus for restaurants, and framed quotes that she sold. After she acquired her first Macintosh computer in 1986 her design work took on a new dimension as she became aware of the seemingly unlimited possibilities of computer aided graphic design. In 1988 she was hired by an all-Mac environmental engineering company and for 5 years she learned to design complex site layouts and various graphics for client reports using Adobe Illustrator 88. She then advanced to using Photoshop and another whole new design world opened up for her. When she quit her job in 1992, she started her own design business and has been working in the design field ever since.
